About This Site

Hello and welcome to Wireless, an award-winning programme about media, radio and audio in Ireland and abroad. The show is broadcast from 3-4pm on the first Monday of every month on community station Flirt FM in Galway, is heard on many other community radio stations across Ireland and is also available wherever you get your podcasts.

Since 2016, Wireless has been the only regular radio show in Ireland to discuss media, audio and radio in depth. We have covered all aspects of this fast-changing landscape including broadcasting history, digital and social media, community media, specialist services and platforms, media and diversity, pirate radio, sound studies and the development and regulation of future media.
