After nearly 70 episodes, the time has come to hang up the headphones and bring Wireless on Flirt FM to an end. In this final episode, we talk to Liz Greene of Northumbria University about the academic discipline of film sound studies. Urszula Doliwa of the University of Warmia and Mazury University in Poland tells us about her research into the history of Polish pirate radio and we hear a flavour of the fantastic Radio is a Foreign Country website. Finally, we share part of an interview with the late Pat Herbert of the Hurdy Gurdy Museum of Vintage Radio in Dublin, who launched our series in 2016, and Flirt FM manager Paula Healy joins us in studio for the last time.
